Facebook has hired Joe Lockhart, former press secretary for Bill Clinton, as vice president of global communications.
Lockhart, who left The White House in 2000, will join the social networking site on July 15, relocating from California to Washington. He's the third Washington insider hired by Facebook, following the appointment of two former George W Bush officials in May.
